The First Robotics Competition happened in New York City at Javits Center on March 12 through March 14. Kids from NYC had their chance to show robots they built and compete in a battle.
Students had an unique opportunity to apply science and math in designing and building robots. They could also test some technologies and learn new things. I think that the event like this one is a great chance for young students to show their knowledge, work, and to compete with other kids. They could also participate in many different events, such as a battle called "Breakaway", where robots had to collect soccer balls and fight with each other. In my opinion this Competition encourages students to play with math, science, and technology. It also makes them more creative and innovative.
