Meet PlayStation Move, Sony's PS3 Motion Controller

During 2010 Games Developer Conference, Sony announced its new product, PlayStation Move. The PlayStation Move is a motion controller that looks like a wand with a colored bulb at the end.
The company presented couple games like tennis, or medieval sword-and-shield game. Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida emphasized precision of the device. The controller will be sold in three option: separately, with the Eye (motion tracking device) and a game, or in a set with the Eye, a game, and the PS3 console. The version with the Eye and a game will be available for under $100.
In my opinion, Sony is trying to compete with Nintendo's console, Wii. Nintendo was the only company offering a console that could be controlled by motion and had monopoly in this sector of market. Sony also wants to gain new clients by offering broader services and gain support of old customers who would willingly buy this new device for their consoles. I think that Sony has made a great move.
