Internet Explorer 9: An Early Look

Microsoft released an early version of Internet Explorer 9. It doesn't look like a web browser, because it's not even a beta version, but it just gives us some hands-on experience with the new browser's engine. Microsoft emphasizes speed of its new product and indeed we can see progress that the company made.
The Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview (that's how it's called) is much faster than previous version (IE 7 and IE 8). One of the main reason of better performance is new JavaScript engine, which has been totally changed and rewritten and browser's support of HTML 5. Microsoft emphasizes that the latter is the major improvement. IE 9 is also the first browser that will make use of multi-core processors and GPUs in order to run graphics faster and smoother.
In my opinion, Microsoft have made a enormous step forward and is trying to catch up with the fastest browsers on the market, such as Safari, Firefox, Chrome or Opera. Its performance is still worse than leaders', but Microsoft is on the right track. However, I'm still not convinced with   the new IE 9 and I'll keep using Google Chrome, which in my opinion is the simplest and therefore the fastest.
