It's Official: Facebook Rules the Web

Last week Facebook was ahead of Google in Internet visits in the U.S. reaching 7.07 percent of all visits and beating Google, which achieved 7.03 percent.
Facebook is growing and becoming more popular. Nowadays it has over 400 million users around the world. No wonder that it ruled Web the week ending March 13 and achieved enormous growth of 186 percent compared to the same week in 2009.
It had top visits before, but only for a single day or two days in a row, for instance Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year's Day. It is the first time Facebook has been on the top for a whole week.
In my opinion, we will see this happening more frequently in the near future. Facebook is growing and developing all the time with amazing speed. Especially to features like Facebook Connect, which enables users users "to get around third-party Web site registration with just one click". However, I agree with the author and I think that Google is still dominant on regular basis and the social network is not a source of practical information.
