Sony Unveils Small, Stylish Interchangeable-Lens Concept Camera

Today, at PMA 2010 in Anaheim, California, Sony presented a new model of a compact camera with interchangeable lenses. Despite its small size the camera features APS-C sensor (24mm x 16mm), has the same Alpha blending as Sony's DSLR cameras, and is capable of capturing HD videos.
Only few details about technical specification of the camera were revealed today. It is known that the camera will have Sony's new invention, Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. This sensor gives ability to shoot high quality pictures and 1080p high-definition videos.
Sony's concept camera is not the first one. Earlier this year Samsung announced NX10 interchangeable lens camera. However Sony introduced some unique features, like: one-touch Sweep Panorama mode, Handheld Twilight mode (which blends up to six images together to create a noise-free low-light image), and Advanced Scene Recognition mode (which takes two photos in rapid succession with and without the flash).
The camera also lacks the internal mirror box, so it does not have the optical viewfinder. It makes the camera more compact than DSLR. This concept of compact cameras with interchangeable lense is quite an innovation. It allows the cameras to get much better quality of pictures without gaining size. Also the new features that Sony presented are impressive, and make this model an object of interest.
