Canon Launches New Rebel DSLR, Point-and-Shoots

On Monday, Canon presented a new line of point-and-shoot cameras including the new D-SLR camera, EOS Rebel T2i. The line is aimed at diferent types of customers, but has one feature in common; all of the cameras have new SD cards memoey cards standard: SDXC that is capable of storing 2 terabytes of data (2000 GB).
T2i looks nearly the same as the previous model, T1i, but features much better specification that can be found in more expensive Canon models. It offers 18-megapixel CMOS sensor and can record 1080p HD videos at up to 30 frames per second and 720p at 60 fps. It can captures images at rate slightly better than T1i: 3.7 fps (compared to 3.4 fps in T1i). It also has upgraded HDMI port to HDMI-CEC that allows to control the device with the HDTV's remote. T2i will be available this month for $799.99 for body only and $899.99 for the kit with EF-S 18-55mm lens.
Canon indroduced also the PowerShot SD and the PowerShot SD1400 IS. The latter isn't much different form the first one, because both have 12.1 megapixels, but the PowerShot SD1400 IS can also capture HD videos.
In my opinion, Canon's new line will be successful, especially T2i, because it offers freatures from more expensive Canon cameras for pretty low price.
