Today Google announced that it has officially changed its name to Topeka as a response to Topeka's rename earlier in march (my post). The company's official blog says that company didn't know how to honor the city in Kansas for the name change, but today on April 1st Google Topeka finally could repay for it.
Reminder: Topeka has changed its name in March for a month to attract Google which is going to test new fiber-optic ultra fast broadband network in one of U.S. cities.
Google has made some other Fools' Day jokes. For example the company announced that YouTube will be only in text mode, or new feature that is called Google Wave, which will send a man in a lab coat to wave at users when they receive a new notification, or that users can now upload 3D objects to Google Docs.

The company obviously has a sense of humor and in my opinion, it is pretty funny. It also interests people and makes using Internet more fun. It would be hilarious to see somebody trying to upload a 3D object through his computer.
