Analyst estimates 700,000 iPads sold Saturday

Apple iPad's sale has started this Saturday and it exceed many expectations. The estimates introduced by Piper Jaffray Gene Munster say that including presales Apple sold 600,000 to 700,000 of the new iPads. It is twice more than senior analyst predicted.
There was a line of 730 people before the famous Apple store in New York that is more than for the premiere of either versions of iPhone. The sales of iPad are higher than iPhone's in 2007, which reached half a million for the first weekend of sales. Apple is expected to sell 7.1 million iPads worldwide this year and double the amount second year.
In my opinion, the sales won't reach that level, because of the iPad itself. I think it is not as innovative and useful as iPhone, so it won't be as successful as iPhone. The predicted sales are overestimated and the excitement with the device will be smaller and smaller.
