Today in the morning Steven P. Jobs in San Francisco presented the new tablet computer from Apple, called iPad.The 1.5 pound, half inch thick device has 9.7 inch Multitouch screen, features the new Apple's microchip, A4, and has the same operating system as iPhone. The most basic model with Wi-fi connection will cost $499 and up to $829 for models with bigger memory (up to 64GB) and 3G wireless access from AT&T. The simplest version will be available in March.
However, it is not possible to make phone calls or take pictures, because it lacks camera. Mr. Jobs said that this device is between laptop and smartphone, but is able to perform some functions better, such as playing movies or reading e-books. One question stays unanswered: will the newest device from Apple achive a success like iPhone or iPod?
